Mathematics has a very wide scope in various fields but some of the fields where it plays a vital role in everyday life are as under:

Student : As a student, everyone has to study mathematics from kindergarten to matric compulsory. Students who are good at mathematics are good scorers in academics. As a result, they perform better in GK, EVS, science. 

Business and shopping : Knowledge of mathematics is essential and helpful in business. Nobody can run his business successfully without the knowledge of maths. Maths helps the business man in calculating various costs, expenditures, profits and loss, turnover, GST and other taxes. 

For shopping, customers have to make shopping list, financial budget. During shopping, customers purchase the goods by calculating the real selling price and discounts. All these calculations can be easily done by the knowledge of basic mathematics.

Banking: Mathematics makes a man perfect in banking. Maths helps us in calculating the balance, withdraw limit, interest rate, EMI of loan etc. 

Driving : Driving a car or any other vehicle needs a series of calculations such as How far is your destination from you, how much time you need to reach your destination, how much fuel is required, what speed you need to travel to reach your destination at time etc. If you hit a traffic jam on the way then how much extra time you need to reach your destination. All these questions can be easily answered with the help of mathematics. 

Homemakers : In the home, math helps a homemaker in making budget of their home. It helps them to verify electricity bill, water bill, grocery bill and other expenditures at home. While making recipes or cooking food, maths helps them to calculate the ingredients according to size of their family. 

Travelling : Everyone loves travelling. For travelling, we needs a lot of planning and preparations such as making budget, booking of tickets, hotels, cabs etc. All these financial planning can be successfully done with the understanding of basic mathematics.
